Brilliant or Stupid? sees the future

April 28, 2010

Not only are we excellent at coming up with useless ideas, but we’re also masters at having those ideas ripped off by other people in order to form tomorrow’s world. For example, this morning’s newspaper (Editors note: erm, should we explain what a newspaper is?) had a couple of stories that prove again that we are ahead of the curve.

Exhibit 1: Stephen Hawking warns that aliens might be evil

When we warned that a race of Space Pirates might come down and rape and pillage our planet, nobody listened (okay, four people listened). But when Stephen Hawking finally came to the same conclusion it’s all over the newspapers.

Hawking was quoted as saying: “An advanced spacefaring extraterrestrial civilization could end up wandering the universe in enormous spaceships on the prowl for vital materials after consuming the natural resources of their own world… Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they could reach.”

Good thing Brilliant or Stupid has already solved this problem with our podcast First Galactic Bank of Aliens.

Exhibit 2: Osama bin Laden doesn’t know shit

Various media outlets covered an interview with Noman Benotman, who was the head of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, who explained that bin Laden thought the U.S. was a “paper tiger” and didn’t expect the massive retaliation from the U.S. government.

Shocking! Osama is a backwoods hick who doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. We told you so! Check it out in the recent podcast Worst. Terrorist. Ever.
